Homosexuality - A paradigm in Indian Society

In recent times, India’s top court has rejected a plea filed by the government and sympathiser group to review the judgement given to Suresh Kumar Koushal and the other. As the judgement was not to the satisfactory for some group of people in society, there has been a huge hue and cry in the social media and electronic media. But the question that needs to be asked is what the majority of the educated public of India thinks about it.
In India the Indians are educated and brought up from childhood keeping in mind the moral and social values. These values are deep rooted and can never be shaken. We need to realise one basic rule of life; Right or wrong is often subject to societies whims of the time. Today many countries accepted the Homosexuality in their society. The western society today postures homosexuality as simply an "alternative lifestyle". Disney World hosts an annual "Gay Pride Day". Parades are held to honour homosexuality. Some schools even teach homosexuality as a lifestyle in their sex education classes but it doesn’t mean that the society which we live in has to accept that. In this multicultural society there will be never an open space for Lesbians or gay sexual activity. People in the street are fighting and supporting a cause which they hardly know it. I saw a photo earlier day in news paper, a man holding a placard written ”In the eyes of GOD all are equally loved”, when this statement is said in the placard of the protester does it means or include sexual activity, does GOD’s love relates to sex ? Well it is not a simple quote from bible , "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable" (Leviticus 18:22) and "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads" (Leviticus 20:13) ".People might argue that the quotation is a reflection of Judeo-Christian moral and ethical standard and being used to legitimate discrimination against sexual minorities. It has to be thought that religion or religious text does not condemn people but it condemns what they do.
Studies by various institute and organisation have put forward that there are background reason when a person becomes or tend to become a homosexual. No one is born gay or lesbians there are early life factors which provoke them to go into this and choose. Some of the notable reasons which has put forward are early exposure to pornography, abuse, traumatic incident. The same reason also changes a person into paedophile. Before we go into rights and demands it is responsible of the society and authorities to cure the causes.
In India homosexuality is a comic relief in Bollywood movies. Indians enjoy them on the screen, off the screen the same comic relief is a chocking factor for them. This because the Indian society is not mature enough to handle these sexual minority groups of people, until we can handle or give space to the homosexuality in our let this be kept on screen for comic relief purpose.

Politics Ruins the Country and Countryman….

Politics Ruins the Country and Countryman….

I still remember freshly the day when I stopped idolising politicians as a person to look for to idolise the character. Days are gone when we use to get impressed by reading the autobiography of Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Ghandi, Maulana Abdul Kalam, Sardar Patel, Rajendra Prashad and many more when the numbers are uncountable. In those era politics and politicians were for the people by the people off the people. What made them so different from today’s politicians what makes them so unique so admirable so lovable that when you just put their name to our mouth you get your spines chill. Was it their personality was it their true selfless love for the countrymen what made them special? Very tough to get an answer for this it’s all because they were honest to their conscience and they can face their face in the mirror. When we see the politicians of our generation we feel even splitting them is very costly why that we hate them so much why that we do not. Let’s go to the post independent politics in this country and lets analyse these new breed of politicians. Mostly they can be classified in below groups

There is a group of politicians who are self-imposed saviour for some ethnic country man they are fanatic full of hatred to other left out population.

There is another group who are classified by wiki as the most notorious criminal, extremely narcissistic extremely nasty. In politics, they are legendary for booth capturing, killing opposition, extortion of business men and enterprises and no respect or regard for the law

And Last but not least there is new generation of politicians who call themselves as “Young Politicians” well if late forty is young then I guess I am yet to born to this world and this blog is written from another world. These politicians are models and child media just follow them like cronies. They are such class that they play with the emotions of poor and they project themselves as they are for the Mango People but in reality they are for Mango not the people.

It is correctly said Never believe a Politicians unless it is officially denied. In today’s world politics is the art of ruining a country and their countrymen.

Possessiveness The Signs of jealousy….

Jealousy, that dragon which slays love under the pretence of keeping it alive.     --Havelock Ellis

In a relationship, there is a fine thin line between possessiveness and jealousy, and for most of the time it is good to be sticking to the side of possessiveness because it is safer, less violent on emotions, minimum torture to yourself and your partner. It is when the possessiveness changes and takes the tone of excess then it harms hinder a relationship.
Truly speaking, the signs of jealousy are mainly because of following reasons.

Firstly, the inferiority complex which develops due to a comparative studies of either the partner’s lifestyle or daily activities. You can be generous or selflessness but at some corner of your brain you nurture this inferiority complex and you wait for a day to burst it out when it is fully grown.
Secondly, it is the green eyed monster which is with us from our childhood selfishness. This rears its nasty head when your loved one shows even a small amount of attention to someone or something else instead of you. You feel bitter about not being the focus of interest and jealousy overcomes you. At such times, you won't think about anyone else's well-being but your own.

Sometime the signs of jealousy will sneak up to you and catch you before you even realize it. The realization comes suddenly when you feel uneasy about things when you lack the happiness inside you when you had with your partner before this monster invaded your life. Introspection in retrospect can often be deceiving. When you look back on failed relationships and assess the relationship issues, you may find yourself glossing over the bad patches. We all come across to failure in some point of life where we find a dead end, wrong turn or wrong path but what we learn in the wisdom of failure is Let it Go. When we let go the reason, we learn to love again.

GIFTED SUPERSTAR

When giving tickets to fellow passengers Shivaji Rao Gaikwad a conductor of Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) never thought that one day these fellow passengers will put milk on his photo and thousands across the country will pray for his good health. People will queue to just see a glimpse of his face. This superstar has his birthday fall in a numeric wonder 12-12-12.

Born in 12 Dec 1950 to mother Jijabai and father Ramoji Rao Gaikwad who was a police constable, he was the youngest among his siblings. None in the family knew this young gun one day will be the superstar and will live in the heats of millions. The path was not easy for him he did not had the charming chocolaty look of an hero like any other in the industry; during his early days he was a struggling actor and has been introduced by director Balachander whom Rajanikant considers his mentor and who gave this man a very small role in Kamal Hassan starrer film Apoorva Raagangal of an abusive husband. Coincidently, this film went to bag the national award on following year for the Best Tamil Feature Film. Well, this film did not give him the success but has introduced to the world the next superstar. Following years he has acted in variety of roles from a hero sacrificing everything for his siblings to a mentally ill person seeking revenge, a sadistic husband, a womanizer, and a lust-filled village rowdy. He has travelled his journey from a negative role to a leading hero in S. P. Muthuraman’s Bhuvana Oru Kelvikkuri (1977). The duo has done 25 films together before Rajnikant took a decision to quit film industry on 1980. His come back to the industry was a hit with a commercial superhit “Billa” a remake of Hindi film Don.

Then who was able to stop this Greek wild horse, following years was seen as Rajani’s commercial success and an uprising of a virtual GOD to the film crazy fans of South India.

When I was living in Chennai, people around me use to say to me that he has a fan following from India to whole world and use to say who can forget the famous one liner of the film BashaNaan oru dhadavai sonna nooru dhadavai sonna madhiri” (If I say it once,
I’ve said it a hundred times). I use to wonder why a baby in mothers arm pit to an 80 year old guy can be madly in love with this person.  This curiosity has made me watch some of his films in Tamil; I had to admit after every Rajani’s film you feel his style, his passion and commitment towards a film. No one in the industry has this unique style this charisma to charm audience. Well the best answer I can quote in Rajni’s word to describe his film and craziness is “En vazhi thani vazhi.” (My way is a unique way.)

“Yeh T20 hai boss. Na tameez se khela jaata hai, Na tameez se dekha”

Watching Ranbir  popping up suddenly in front of team India and giving tips to players and stealing Pepsi from behind and when he is caught doing such mischief he replies back saying “Yeh T20 hai boss. Na tameez se khela jaata hai, Na tameez se dekha” (This is T20 boss, neither it is seen like a gentleman nor it’s played like a gentleman).

It would be true mantra if Dhoni and his co. would have played like a goon with full of raw energy and thrashing all the other team on the way to reach the victory cup. But what did we notice in this game, was probably the worst fielding side amongst the top teams, their bowling was average, the batting was inconsistent and the captaincy was conservative.

I am not a great intellect or a follower of this game but I do have little knowledge to understand how things goes wrong when you don’t have a plan on how to beat your opponent’s. As an Indian we are in pseudo happiness as we have beaten Pakistan or Pakistan did not go to the final, if only winning against Pakistan or Pakistan not going to final matters so much then I guess  we cricket loving nation are not having pragmatic attitude towards this game.

During Kristen time this team was in the pinnacle of 50 overs and Test formats the only thing that we can see is going downwards. It’s painful and disappointing in losing the batting stalwarts. It is also disheartening on seeing the ego clash between two top players of the team. Whatever the reasons may be but these reasons seem to be affecting the full India Team.
I would say it’s high time for Fletcher to pitch in and take things into his own hand and do the same like this predecessor has done otherwise Sehwag might not have become the player that he was between 2002 and 2006 if John Wright had probably not caught him by his collar at the Oval in 2002. Yuvraj Singh might not have had the desire to come back fitter and excel in the 2011 World Cup had Gary Kirsten not rebuked him with his now famous, "Get your fitness in order. I think I'm fitter than you" in 2010.

A malnutrition Super power country

When Dr.Abdul Kalam in his book ‘India 2020’ advocated strongly for India to be a super power and a developed nation by the year 2020, he never thought that millions of country childs are being ignored of a meal, on that day the speech made us proud, happy and all the emotional chemistry which gives us feel good expression, ignoring the real facts, real issues, real people of India.

On this week the ugly truth of my country was published by the International Food Policy Research Institute which states that the country ranked 67th among the 80 worst countries in term of mal nutrition. Statistically, 21% of its population undernourished, nearly 44% of under-5 children underweight and 7% of them dying before they reach five years, India is firmly established among the world's most hunger-ridden countries. The situation is better than only Congo, Chad, Ethiopia or Burundi, but it is worse than Sudan, North Korea and Pakistan.

Well, for many (which include me) it was a slap to wake me up from the illusion of a progressing country. My dad use to say countable cities does not represent a country, at that moment I had a feeling that my dad was cynical but now I strongly believe that he was not cynical, he understood the nerve of the country more than I did.

For lavish luxury and hi profile life style we never looked the tears in eye, ignored the pain in the stomach of 230 million children. Let’s take an incident from our daily life, we are ready to pay 10 rupee tip to a pizza boy but we are not ready to spend 10 rupee to feed a child who lies helpless in the road. Why we do that?

I don’t have the answer; in fact I was so ignorant and was behaving like the blind monkey of Gandhi that I never looked or thought to find an answer for that. I don’t blame the Government, government is not liable of my lavish wastage of money and food resource I blame myself of doing nothing, I blame myself for spending more than need.

Today the statistics has given me some of my answer, has it given to others?

Cheer Girls does booty shake....Cheer queens mesmerize

I am not a fan of IPL but like to keep a track of the game. What surprised me in the recent times, in this short form of game are the cheer queens.

Well, I was watching the Pune Warriors versus the Delhi Daredevil match suddenly the movement of the camera went to a group of girls who were wearing saree cheering the team of Pune. Can you imagine that cheer girls wearing saree; I bet you won’t the word cheer girls would make you think of sexy girls with short sleeveless dress and pompon in the hand.

But, guess what you are wrong we have the Cheer Queens who sang and danced Bharata Natyam, Bengali dance, Gujarati Garba, Haryanvi dance, Maharashtrian 'Lavni,' Punjabi Bhangra, Mohiniyattam.

This is a very innovative and showcase which brings recognition to the rich and diverse culture of India at an international platform. Let’s the world know from this tournament that we have better thing to offer.

Well, kudos to Mr. Roy who has brought a wonderful thing in front of us and to me :-)
